SENORITA

I was standing on a corner in a border town

Enjoying the 5th of May

When a lovely Senorita came a-walkin

Down the street headin' straight my way

So I smiled at her and she smiled back

The kind that gives a man a heart attack

Cause if I’ve ever seen a prettier Chiquita

I was dreaming, and now that’s a fact

Now I've never been a stalker

But I couldn’t help but walking behind her a ways

Just to get a glimpse of heaven on a scale of 1 to 7

She might be an 8

But two Gorillas wearing suits and shades

Said “Senor, you’d better walk away”

I told ‘em “I don’t want no trouble”

But we broke into a scuffle and I landed in jail

Whoa, Senorita, don’t you know

I only wanted to meet ya

I wasn't looking for no trouble

But now I’m seein’ double again

As I discovered she’s the daughter of

The head of Guatemala or some such place

And now I'm sittin' in Reynosa with no Pesos

Or Amigos to post my bail

A fellow prisoner said “This will pass”

As he handed me a silver flask

And it tasted like tequila so we drank about a liter

And I passed out fast

When I woke up in the morning, couldn’t feel

My empty noggin, must have been a sight

To a gorgeous Senorita who was standing there

Wonderin’ “Is this man alive?”

When she found out about what went down

She bailed me out of that lost and found

So I kissed her on the hand, headed for

The Rio Grande and back to my hometown

Sweet Senorita, don’t you know

I only wanted to meet ya

I wasn't looking for no trouble

But now I’m seein’ double again

And I thank you very kindly but my story’s

Finally reaching the end

And I think I’ll spend next Cinco de Mayo

Hanging out with my friends
